Among the small wonders of the Gargano, this nature reserve of 400 ha is the lung of the promontory. Oaks, Aleppo pines and also beeches shelter a population of deer and offer the coolness of their shade, contrasting fiercely with the heat of the coastline and the rugged mountains at the entrance to the promontory.
