The last village at the end of the peninsula and at the mouth of the eponymous river, Scaborough has only residential houses and wild beaches. Its seaside location first made it a popular holiday village before it was taken over by the Cape Town Council in the 2000s and protected for its environment. The village now has a population of just over a thousand. On the way from the reserve to Scaborough, be sure to stop at the always fun ostrich farm and the very good Cape Farmhouse restaurant
