This is the terminus of Route 155, and the welcome is more than grandiose: Lac Saint-Jean opens up before our very eyes, after a long forest drive in the Haute-Mauricie region. There are several parks and rest areas where you can contemplate this inland sea once you've completed your journey. The municipality of Chambord is best known for the Village historique de Val-Jalbert, a former ghost village that has been converted into a tourist and historical site of great interest. A true witness to the history of the pulp mill era, you could easily spend a whole day here, or even more, thanks to the accommodation units spread throughout the site.
