This pretty harbor village is surrounded by the charming villages of Crail, Pittenweem and Elie a little further on. Cellardykes, 800 m east of Anstruther, is also worth a visit: a picturesque harbor town, an old fishing port superbly preserved, it was designated a conservation area in 1977. All these harbor towns are scattered along the Fife coast, also known as the East Neuk. The peninsula offers beautiful coastal scenery and some golf courses. Also consider a cruise to the Isle of May. Anstruther is famous for its fishing museum, art festival and fish restaurants.
