Hirosaki City is a castle town of 180,000 inhabitants. It has retained much of its traditional architecture, except in the centre, particularly near the station, where modernity predominates. Located about 40 km from Aomori, the city has developed around its feudal castle and its magnificent park. It is also famous as the apple capital of Japan.
