BOTANICAL GARDEN

This beautiful botanical garden, adjacent to the castle grounds, is worth taking the time to visit and, why not, enjoy a picnic. Inside, there are 23 defined areas with 1,500 species and more than 124,000 trees and flowers. The tour can be done in 1 hour, for the fastest. During the Golden Week, when cherry trees are in bloom, the park is invaded by a huge crowd of amateur photographers. But every season is worth a visit. There is a combined castle/garden ticket (510 ¥).
