We must cross the village of Ohanavan, whose houses are scattered in the orchards, and take the direction of the Kazakh Gorge to discover the eponymous monastery or almost Hovanavank (vank means "vank" in Armenian). A jewel of medieval Armenian architecture, recently perfectly restored, in a sumptuous natural setting, the Kazakh Gorge is still deepening to form a canyon, to which the monastery is leaning.
