Easily accessible by bike or public transport from Mariehamn, the municipality of Lemland is more often traversed quickly than explored, even though it abounds in places of great interest. There's the Lemström canal, for example, where you can relax on a hot summer's day, St. Olof's chapel (said to be the oldest in the archipelago), the Herrö observation tower (in the bird sanctuary) and the Lågskär lighthouse, located on an isolated piece of land that can only be reached under very specific circumstances.
