Travel Guide Sandhamn

Three hours from Stockholm, this destination, named after the dunes that run through it, is very popular with boaters. The Swedish yacht club has been established here for over a century. We dock in the port of Sandhamn, a charming village where only 100 people live in winter (but which is taken by storm by tourists in summer). Near the harbor, there are restaurants, cafés, stores and hotels. The village is charming, with its groves of hydrangeas, its wooden houses and its narrow streets... The rest of the island is almost entirely covered by pine trees and all around are beautiful sandy beaches.
