This is the southernmost island chain and municipality. The Kökar Museum is a must-see if you have a little time. Excavations have revealed the existence of a 15th-century Franciscan monastery on the island of Kökar. The primitive monastic cells have been discovered, and the museum retraces the life of the monks before the arrival of the Reformation and the abandonment of the site. Interesting stuff! The small ports, hiking and fishing opportunities make this a very attractive island.
