Located on Kimito Island, the country's largest coastal island at 524 km2, Kimito is a small community of around 3,300 souls. Here, you can visit Örö Island - either by renting a small boat or via an organized excursion. Here, you'll discover an unspoilt natural environment with cold flowers, sandy plants and plants that are rare in Finland, such as sea wheat and sea cabbage. This diversity of plants also brings with it species of butterfly that are rare here, most of which are on the brink of extinction. The island's 200 hectares are ideal for walks and bike rides, accessible to all.
