With a name like that, you can imagine that Superdévoluy is not part of the tradition of the villages of the Hautes-Alpes, but rather of a contemporary history. Created in 1966 as part of the 1964 Snow Plan, Superdévoluy is one of those integrated resorts imagined by innovative architects. At the beginning, it was a single building, the work of Henry Bernard, at the foot of the slopes, which was followed by two other buildings also covered in wood. From now on, the resort of Superdévoluy has been associated with that of La Joue du Loup to give the Dévoluy ski area with a total of 100 km of slopes in a vast alpine area.
