Quietly installed on the edge of the Durance - the territory of the commune is one of the rare ones to extend on both banks -, the village of Tallard keeps along the streets many vestiges of its past: church Saint-Grégoire, wash houses and fountains in particular. But the main monument remains the castle which has undergone major restoration work. Note that the famous Napoleon Road passes through Tallard, which makes this town a pleasant stopover. A city also known to be the paradise of air sports with an airfield famous throughout the world. Tallard is notably a high place of parachuting in France.
