Pfäfers is a very surprising natural site. Narrow gorges (the Tamina Gorge, up to 70 m high), a cave, a hot spring... The curative virtues of this spring were discovered as early as 1240. Paracelsus, the first spa doctor at the Pfäfers baths in 1535, a natural scientist, physician and philosopher, wrote an entire book on the beneficial effects of the 36.5°C hot water emanating from these springs, which were exploited until 1960. The old Pfäfers baths, built in the 18th century, were restored between 1983 and 1995. You can visit the museum dedicated to their history.
