Laax is famous for its vast ski area, which stretches across the entire northern massif up to the Vorab, at over 3,000 m altitude. Skiers and snowboarders will have a field day. The village itself has retained its simplicity. Sights worth seeing include the pretty church, as well as Museum Laax, a small museum of local history, and a few old chalets. For breathtaking views, head for the Crap Signina platform. You'll find a number of charming, reasonably-priced hotels, as well as a few chalet apartments. Most of the outlying hamlets have all the necessary tourist and sports facilities.
