The town is a crossroads between the Tyrol and Switzerland, but above all it is a river crossroads. No less than five valleys meet here: Grosswalsertal, Brandnertal, Klostertal, Montafon and Walgau. It is also an important railway centre and the starting point of the Arlberg railway. Bludenz is known for its Milka chocolate factory. Watered by the Ill river and located at 588 m of altitude, Bludenz counts approximately 13 800 inhabitants. We will like its medieval district and its pedestrian center. Its annual Milka chocolate festival is considered to be the largest in Europe dedicated to a sweet. There is also a children's theatre festival.
