The Werdenberg region lies on Switzerland's eastern border, in the St. Gallen Rhine valley. Werdenberg is a beautiful, well-preserved old wooden village with a population of just over 100. Among the sights to see is the 13th-century castle, with its collection of weapons spanning history right up to the Second World War. The castle is also home to the Rhine Museum, dedicated to nature and traditions. The Salle des Chevaliers is used for receptions. Walkers will appreciate the Trübliweg educational trail: a 1h30 hike through vineyards, wine, culture and ecology.
