Bordes d'Envalira is the last village in the parish of Canillo that you come across at the start of the Pas de la Casa (7.5 km away), which is situated at an altitude of 1,980 meters. This small uninhabited (or almost) village has no cultural or heritage interest, but it is a strategic anchor point for skiers who can easily access the Grandvalira ski area, located 2 km away. In fact, it is the increased number of travelers that has brought Bordes d'Envalira back to life, with only a couple of hotels. A project to facilitate the transfer of skiers to Grandvalira is under study.
