Notodden is a small town of 12,300 inhabitants in the heart of Telemark. It's famous for its standing wooden Heddal church, the largest of its kind. It's definitely worth a look! As a reminder, only 28 of the original 750 probably remain. Notodden's other main attraction is its Blues Festival, one of the biggest in Europe, which takes place every year at the beginning of August. More info at bluesfest.no. Notodden is a growing city that's always on the move, offering its residents and visiting tourists a wide range of activities throughout the year. The town's name means "the place where you can fish".
