Drammen is divided in two by the river Drammenselva. The town is about 40 km south of Oslo. About 100,000 people live in the town. The town is famous for its beautiful rock carvings (including a deer), which were found in Åskollen and Skogerveien and are over 6,000 years old. It is a growing city and the 7th largest in Norway. The municipality is very committed to environmental issues and urban development and has received several awards for this. Theatre, famous Aass brewery, museums, restaurants, swimming pool, there is plenty to do!
