One of the most important bird parks in Europe is located here. The oldest farmhouse in the national park, a listed building called the Floriani-Barockhaus, is located here, as well as a park information centre with documentation and guided tours to discover the rich biodiversity of this protected environment. The Ornithological Museum in the village explains the different species of birds that nest in the park, as well as those that stop here on their way to migrate. To discover the splendid nature of the national park, boat trips on the lake are offered every Wednesday afternoon. Departure from Schifffahrt Gangl, duration: two and a half hours In addition to the richness of the birdlife, there is another natural resource that attracts visitors. The St. Bartholomew's spring in the centre of the village was dug in 1931 as an artesian well to supply the inhabitants with drinking water. Since then, its reputation has spread across the cantons, and the beneficial qualities of its water, which is particularly rich in hydrogen carbonate and sodium, among other things, have been recognized by the medical authorities. The classification of the spring as a "heilquelle" (spring of cure) should arouse a growing interest for this village in the centre of which a charming little house shelters a generous fountain
