This village of just over 1,000 inhabitants is located in a splendid mountain setting at an altitude of 1,400 m. It is a place of great charm, very picturesque with its traditional chalets scattered in the meadows, and of a sovereign calm. Mentioned as early as 1140, it is home to a parish church first built in 1414 and, 4 km away, a pilgrimage church, Sainte-Marie-des-Neiges (Mariaschnee). A wonderful holiday resort for those who are looking for peace, mountains, authenticity and rusticity. You can only plan a day visit, but it would be a shame not to linger a while...
