Štefanová is a hamlet in the Vrátna Valley belonging to Terchová, formerly used as a pastoral area. It extends under the Boboty and Velky Rozsutec massif in the Nova valley, at the end of the Vratna valley. This peaceful locality with its wooden houses is the ideal place to get away from it all in the lush green mountains of the Petites Fatras Natural Park. Štefanová is perhaps the best place to stay in the Malá Fatra. There are several accommodation and restaurant facilities, a national park information centre and, above all, numerous hiking trails through this remote village.
