It extends at the foot of the dry rocks. The area is dominated by Sokol (562 m) and is known for its rock labyrinths (Kalich, Chleviště), caves, gorges, rock falls and passages. The many hiking trails through it often offer beautiful views of the Jizera Valley and lead, for example, to the ruins of Zbirohy, some remains of a 14th-century castle. This is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the Český Ráj region, and certainly you won't be alone in high season. Prefer June or September if you like to move at your ease on more solitary trails.
