Among the beauties of Český Ráj, there is this small town nicknamed "the pearl of Bohemian Paradise". Its history begins in the 15th century when a castle was built on a sandstone cliff overlooking the River Jizera. The city is modest (2,000 inhabitants), but it is surrounded by natural resources and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.
