About ten kilometers west of Liberec, on the other side of the Ještěd Mountain, on the road 592 between Chrastava and Osečná. On the banks of the small Rokytka River, this tiny village is one of the most typical in the region. It was originally a mining hamlet founded in the 16th century. After the lode was exhausted, the inhabitants became lumberjacks, then bandits out of necessity. Here we will see superb examples of popular architecture, well preserved and scattered around a small church of 1686 dedicated to Saint Christopher.
