Charming fishing village, with houses built on the beach with typical Ligurian architecture and brightly painted facades. Varigotti has always had the distinction of being one of the best natural harbors of the Ligurian Ponente. In the 14th century, the very active port activity of the town prompted the enemy Genoese to definitively silt up the medieval port (1341). Remains of the stone pontoons are still visible underwater in the Bay of the Saracens(Baiadei Saraceni), today one of the most popular beaches in the area. Its idyllic setting has made it a favorite spot for the filming of commercials.
