Termeno (Tramin in German) is home to the aromatic Gewurztraminer wine, a famous grape variety commonly found in Alsace. This village, which dominates the Wine Route, is beautifully situated on the steep slopes of Mount Roen. The village's beautiful residences, adorned with their typical stone oriels and arches, are a sight to behold, as is the late-Gothic bell tower of the church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta, the highest in the region (86 m). Termeno is also famous throughout the region for its Egetmann carnival procession, a tradition dating back to the 16thcentury . A quiet little village.
