Half an hour north of Udine, 32 km away from Udine, you will find San Daniele hams in green, timeless lands. This PDO cured ham is produced exclusively in the municipality of San Daniele del Friuli, where the sea breeze from the valley meets the cool alpine currents, creating a microclimate that favors the maturation of the hams. There are producers everywhere and it is possible to buy directly. The small town of San Daniele del Friuli also has some notable buildings, palaces, churches and the Casa del Trecento, a medieval house from the 14th century.
