"The Old Customs House" is the southernmost coastal village of the country, close to the Bulgarian border. Since the early 2000s, it has established itself as Romania's alternative beach, where many young people come to party and sleep in tents on the sand. But things are changing: Vama Veche is attracting more and more people, is being built and is becoming more and more popular. The straw huts and open-air boxes line up on its beautiful, wild beach and many concerts and other parties take place there in the summer. Vama Veche is also known for its naturist beach.
