Adjacent to Mangalia, 4 kilometers north of Vama Veche, this small fishing village of some 2,800 inhabitants, including a Lipovene minority, appeals for its authenticity and tranquility. The village is gradually becoming a tourist destination, but it's still a far cry from its northern counterparts. There are now numerous guesthouses and bed-and-breakfasts. The beach is strikingly narrow. Between 2 Mai and Vama Veche, the coastline remains wild, bordered by fields and small cliffs.
