Less impressive than neighboring monasteries, this modest church without clocher was built in 1502 by Luca Arbore, governor of Suceava, who is buried there and whose village bears the name. If the building is modest, the exterior walls are beautiful. They were signed by Madhav Coman in 1541, who gave them all the nuances of green (especially blue-green). The western facade is characterized by a painted niche, an unusual architectural element for the time. Here are the best preserved paintings (because part of the frescoes are rather damaged). They show a succession of very rich scenes, such as Genesis and the life of saints. Inside the church we will see a remarkable iconostasis.
