Located between 5 and 10 kilometers west of Singaraja, the small coastal villages of Pemaron, Tukadmungga, Anturan, Kalibukbuk, Kaliasem and Temukus now form a single seaside resort called Lovina (or Lovina Beach). Although most of the coastline is made up of black volcanic sand, the main beach is covered in grey-blond sand, and the sea remains calm thanks to the reefs.Lovina has retained its romantic, village atmosphere, with prahu fishing at night, lit by acetylene lamps, and resting on the beaches during the day. In the evening, Lovina exudes a certain liveliness, yet is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. But for those who prefer peace and quiet, they can choose to sleep in one of the resort's secondary villages, such as Anturan or Keliasem. Touristically speaking, the main attraction is to take a boat out to watch the dolphins off the beach at sunrise. You can also enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling. The Lovina coral reef was severely damaged by dynamite fishing and the use of coral for lime. It is now protected. Nevertheless, diving is possible, and fishermen will be happy to take you out to sea a few hundred meters from the beach to observe the life of the reef.
