The cradle of the Bois-Francs region, it was here that Charles Héon, the region's first settler, settled. It's also the cranberry capital of the province, with more than a dozen cranberry beds scattered throughout the territory. In autumn, a visit to the peat bogs decked out in flamboyant red is well worth the trip. You can even get your hands dirty in some places during the harvest. To find out all you need to know about this great North American cranberry, drop by Cranberry en Fête, an interpretation center with tasting booths and a boutique brimming with homemade products.
