Located on the river, this city has about 375 years of history, which can be discovered in the Old Montmagny, which has preserved many of its heritage buildings. Montmagny is also the capital of the snow goose because of the strong migrations of snow geese in spring and fall. Needless to say, the area is a favourite with birdwatchers and animal photography enthusiasts. Just across the street is the Isle-aux-Grues archipelago, famous for its cheese factory, its wide variety of birds and its Jean-Paul-Riopelle nature reserve. You can get there by ferry, cruise or by air.
