65 km from the capital, Pomaire is the center of stoneware and ceramics in Chile. A place that represents well the rural Chile of the central valley. You can take advantage of your excursion to have lunch in one of the many traditional Chilean restaurants for a day stamped "authentic". The typical dish is chancho (pork). The best picada is undoubtedly Los Naranjos (main street Roberto Bravo) - admire also its collection of gramophones. The craft shops are closed on Mondays, when the village is deserted. On weekends, especially between December and February, it is very crowded. So try to come during the week.
