A very small shop that doesn't look like much in the middle of the large buildings of La Baixa. Certainly, it has a small stock but the whole history of fado is there as well as traditional Portuguese music and then some classical selections at low prices. A huge hall to rescue everyone who realizes that 2 hours before departure, they made no gift! A little le de Casa, a huge bazaar "everything at 1 €. We have to look, but we fall on fashion and not expensive crockery, artificial flowers, house accessories, some souvenirs, Christmas detailing (good, when it's season) and lots of objects to make fun. There's a lot of turnover in the stock, so we don't have to hesitate too long when you benchmark something good.

The shop of one of the oldest artisanal factories of azulejos, which has been perpetuating traditional and manual techniques since 1741. A beautiful and wide choice of azulejos inspired by classic or modern motifs. You will find lamps, panels, coats of arms, quite original bathroom accessories, single tiles (don't miss the series of dogs, especially British customers). There are pretty little gifts to make: napkin rings or small ashtrays, vases, decanters. Prices start very low.

Since 1824, the great name of Portuguese hand-painted porcelain. The collections are worth a look, and the prices are finally incredibly low compared to those of Limoges. For pleasure, explore the many lines inspired by old Chinese motifs or beautiful Portuguese decoration. Vista Alegre provides special services for crowned heads, but has also opened Casa Alegre, a chain dedicated to small budgets with several really nice tableware lines that can be found in shopping centres.

National and international artists in a great pioneer space.

Since 1964, it has developed renowned and sometimes international Portuguese artists. 

One of the oldest art galleries in Lisbon, inaugurated in 1968, it has become a reference space for the pintura modernista portuguesa. Just the room is pretty in itself with its red brick ceiling and white walls that create a contrast. In its window you will always find original and interesting works that immediately attract the eye and make you want to go home. The works are not really first prize, so we go there more for the pleasure of the eyes, unless we are an experienced collector.

Depozito is the union of two projects: A Vida Portuguesa and Portugal Manual, one promoting traditional crafts and the other contemporary. The 400^m2 store features a highly specialized selection of decorative objects, household linen and fashion accessories. The entrance to the store is decorated with large posters of old advertisements for various products. Artisans are regularly invited to give demonstrations and workshops on specific skills.

Every Saturday, Anchieta Street fills up with stalls selling second-hand books and postcards. The books are old or recent and the prices vary depending on whether you are a good negotiator or not. Since the street is not huge, there are about twenty stalls. However, this is enough to make some finds, while escaping for a while from the crowd that invades the streets of Chiado on Saturday. Afterwards, all you have to do is sit on the terrace of the café A Brasileira with your book and watch life pass you by.

Have you ever heard of the art of filigree? It is a typical jewelry technique in Portugal, which consists of creating jewelry from very fine twisted wires. At Lua de Prata, you will find a wide selection of filigree jewelry, both in gold and silver. This jewelry store, which has been in existence for more than 30 years, always catches the eye when you pass by its window, offering a multitude of items. In addition to filigree jewelry, you will also find jewelry in the pure style of traditional Portuguese jewelry.

This is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful concept stores in the Príncipe Real area. You will find a little bit of everything: decoration, gift ideas, clothes, bags, accessories like sunglasses or jewelry but also books... The selection is of very good taste and quality. The prices are a bit high sometimes. The brands present are Portuguese and international. We prefer to warn you, there is a lot of choice, it will be difficult to leave the store without buying anything.

Humana is a chain of second hand clothes. Like the ressourceries, they recover the clothes that people give and sell them at low prices. These stores are very popular with the locals because there are regular sales to change the collection. Several times a year, they put the whole store at one price (40% then 50% then 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 euros). You will sometimes find clothes of big brands by looking well. We like the fact that the store is well arranged and that everything is not in bulk in boxes.

One of Lisbon's veteran independent record dealers. When you see the sign outside, you will have to go up a floor to find the store. The shop-apartment on the first floor near Largo de Camões is well equipped with vinyl. The decoration, a little sixties a little vintage, sets the mood immediately. We are offered a short journey through musical time. A lot of rock (sixties, garage, psyche, progressive...) but also soul or jazz. Iggy Pop and Franck Zappa are among the idols of the place, Hallelujah!

In 2006, Selecta Lexo Dj of the collective Raska founded this shop. Specialist for reggae vibration and Jamaican rhythms, unique boutique of the kind of Lisbon, or even Portugal.

Odile is the name of the grandmother of the creator of this store and brand of eco-friendly clothing. Recently installed in the small street that connects Praça das Flores to São Bento Street, you will see in the window pretty colorful wicker baskets. In addition to clothes, Odile works with artisans from different regions of Portugal and offers accessories or decorative objects. She creates with them unique collections for her store. She also collaborates with other brands.

In the lower part of São Bento Street, among restaurants and stores, this bookstore is well established. Without further ado, embark on a journey into the world of travel, a little stopover in the land of books that tell the story of explorers from all eras. The origin of this brand dates back to 1887 when two Germans, Ferdinand Claus and Georges Schweder, founded the first soap and perfume factory in northern Portugal. Coming down from the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcantara, you will see one of their shops on your right. Your eye will immediately be drawn to the retro and colourful packaging, reminiscent of the Art Deco style of the 1930s. The smells of soaps (then declined in candles and cie) are bewitching and make you want to crack.

"Love Lisbon", love it so much that you can't come back without a memory of this beautiful city. Souvenirs from Portugal, yes, but design souvenirs with craftsmanship using traditional know-how with a style that has been updated. In this shop you will find ceramics by young artists but also tote bags proudly displaying the Lisbon symbols and other objects of all kinds. Here, we are far from the ultrakitsch shops that can be found all over the historic centre and that's good!

There are many hat shops, but few that offer handmade hats. This shop was created by two women, whose families have been in the industry for a long time. The name of the store is a tribute to the grandfather of one of them. The store's decoration is surprising with its hat hangers. There's one for all the heads. It's a reference in Lisbon, so don't hesitate to put the price if you fall for an item, the quality will be there. They are all 100% made in Portugal.

A little hidden in the Chiado, just like its founder, a French woman living in Lisbon, Véronique's boutique is eclectic, contemporary, elegant and original. We like its pretty windows. She offers her selection (made with taste) of international and Portuguese women's clothing and accessories brands: Paul & Joe sister, See by Chloé, Orla Kiely, Vanessa Bruno Athé, Diogo Miranda, Sonia Rykiel, Patricia Novais and Luis Buchinho. This is a shop for women who like to dress up, with pieces that stand out from the crowd.

Built in 1985, it's a classic, comfortable four-storey shopping center. It's the bourgeoisie's favourite shopping center. From almost anywhere in Lisbon, you can see the three post-modern towers that crown it. Apparently, the layout is designed to make it easy to get in and easy to stay in. It's true that it's a little hard to find your way out. Two floors of labyrinths, dotted with over 200 stores, cinemas and restaurants.

The other side of the moon is a rather psychedelic concept store, where you can come and browse through second-hand and vintage clothes (from the 1950s to the 1980s) or creations by designer Carla Belchior, but you can also stop by, inside in a cosy tea room or on the terrace, to have a cocktail (without alcohol) or snack and engage in conversation. The decoration is surprising and the walls reveal the cut stone typical of La Baixa's buildings. Let yourself be tempted by the cheesecake in mini or normal versions.

In 1988, a terrible fire ravaged the Grandela department stores and a large part of the district. For 10 years, Rua do Carmo and Chiado were disfigured by the ruins of the store. Finally, a Dutch developer and the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira brought these large shopping malls out of the ground. A few large basement spaces (Fnac, Kiko, Sephora, Jean Louis David lounge) then two levels of friendly shops and finally a varied and sublimely placed restaurant space symmetrically placed in the castle (in addition, there are windows).

Created by Vhils, the most famous Portuguese street artist, and his ex-girlfriend (a French woman), this art gallery aims to promote urban art. This cultural platform exists since 2010 and wants to give a chance to local and international artists to develop their work in the city of Lisbon. Each exhibition results in the creation of a wall in the city (in agreement with the city council, of course). The store allows to buy works at all prices.

The Lisbon Shop is a space managed by the Associação Turismo de Lisboa. You'll find a selection of Portuguese brands such as Mustique, Harper and Mathilda jewelry. Owner Teresa carefully selects all the pieces to create a harmonious whole, so you'll find something for every occasion.

A clothing brand mainly made of wool (hence the name), 100% made in Portugal and with over 50 years of history already! The brand has ethical values and seeks sustainability as far as possible, with great concern for the environment. While the designs of the garments are very much of the moment, the brand's desire is to preserve a traditional aspect in its two boutiques. The idea is to show that it is possible to turn old, historic stores into modern, sustainable concepts. A store not to be missed.

Every object or garment is the result of a process, like the creation of this boutique, which came into being in 2020. Between France, Colombia, Italy and Portugal, the influences are multiple. Here you'll find a selection of second-hand clothing and accessories, carefully chosen by the store's designer. At the top of the rua Madalena hill, you won't be able to pass by without your eyes being drawn to the shop windows, cleverly arranged to display Portuguese handicrafts. For Madalena a Janela is just that: a Portuguese concept store, dedicated to preserving local know-how through a wide range of products. You'll find several brands as well as two of the store's own: Luz Boa and As Coloridas. There's something for everyone: clothing, accessories, home decor (including ceramics)...

Mustique is a clothing brand founded by two childhood friends: Vera Caldeira and Pedro Ferraz. It all started with colorful shirts, and soon everything accelerated. All collections are designed and manufactured in Portugal. As you enter the boutique, you'll be transported into a colorful, trendy world. The clothes are casual and a little unisex. It's a brand that's currently enjoying great success, and one you'll want to discover when you visit Lisbon.

This well known jewellery brand since 1635 presents classic models (a little baroque) and above all a superb fantasy line (based on coloured or metal beads), very original. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the choice presented. Espaço Batalha should please all tastes in jewellery, whether as a gift or to treat yourself. The staff is welcoming and will advise you, even if you don't speak Portuguese, gestures will be enough to understand each other. A visit is not a waste of time.
