This Nepalese house offers a typical setting that creates a warm atmosphere. The waiters are dressed according to Nepalese custom. A perfect scenario to taste the country's cuisine: fresh products spiced up with the flavours of these highlands. Prawns, chicken, mutton and lamb or vegetarian dishes are cooked with different vegetables and spices. Portugal has not been forgotten and fish with an oriental touch is part of the dishes on offer, such as sole fillets with curry. For dessert, opt for mango ice cream with pistachio nuts!

RESTAURANT NEW HIMALAIA

Indian restaurant
5/5
1 review

An all-you-can-eat buffet at low prices where you can taste Indian and Nepalese cuisine but also good pizzas, and curry dishes of course. At the Himalaya restaurant, the welcome is friendly, smiling and attentive. The space is large and lends itself well to meals with friends or large families. A few steps from the Avenida metro station, it's a good option to eat cheaply, and taste new flavors just a few steps from the center. For those who want a change from the Portuguese cuisine and have a nice meal. Recommended for small budgets.

CHUTNIFY

Indian restaurant

Immerse yourself in an atmosphere worthy of a Bollywood film when you dine at Chutnify, which offers contemporary Indian cuisine. A typical South Indian dish is served: dosas! These are thin, crispy Indian pancakes made from lentils and chickpeas, with a choice of fillings. To our knowledge, this is the only place in Lisbon where you can find them. To accompany your meal, you have the classic lassi, but also cocktails. The concept is so successful that it has now been exported to Cascais.

RAMEN HOUSE ASKA

Japanese restaurant

For a long time, Lisbon had no real Japanese cuisine on offer. That's now a thing of the past, with several good restaurants including this one, located on a street parallel to Avenida Liberdade. Like a real Tokyo-style stall where you come for a quick bite at the counter, the place is very small, with just 3 tables. We strongly advise you to make a reservation if you can. The storefront is also typical, with small curtains at the entrance. There's a wide choice of ramen, all traditional recipes.

PANDA CANTINA

Simplicity and regularity, these are the two qualities that, according to its creator Yin, make Panda Cantina such a success. This is the first establishment to open in 2018, but there are now four others in different parts of the capital. The principle is simple: mainly ramen dishes. Small, welcoming places where you can eat at the counter. You're served in less than 15 minutes and everything is ultra-fresh. It's a sure bet if you want to eat Asian food in Lisbon. What's more, you can choose your level of spiciness from 0 to 5.
