This fishing village, north-east of Korissia, is the assembly centre of the yachts and the most popular part of the island. More northerly, on the peninsula of Aghia Irini, the American Academy of Archaeology discovered a city of the era of copper. You will see the ruins of the walls and the remains of a sanctuary dedicated to the great goddess of the Cyclades. During the classical era, the place was devoted to the cult of Dionysus.
