11 kilometers from Ioulis, opposite the town of Káristos in Evia, this small village has a shady beach, but a little exposed to the meltemi. The landscape from Vourkari to Otzias is very beautiful, as you pass through a valley dotted with olive, almond and fruit trees. The beach at Otzias, which is small and exposed to the meltemi, offers the advantage of still being calm and uncrowded. You can also swim at Kastri beach. Another beautiful sandy beach is I Tris Boukes, between the Kefalas peninsula and the bay of Aghios Nikolaos. For another viewpoint, the monastery of Kastriani, founded in the early 18th century, is built on a steep rock overlooking the sea.
