23 kilometers from the port of Korissia lies the bay of Koundouros: beautiful sandy coves, a tiny anchorage for sailboats, a few vacation homes and the sea on the horizon. With good shoes or a scooter, you can take advantage of the paths laid out in the surrounding oak forests. The village is close to some of the island's most beautiful beaches. As you head south towards the village of Kampi, you'll find a succession of small, pleasant beaches, including the shady Frea, or Lygia, a pebble beach with crystal-clear waters. But the most beautiful beaches are certainly those that fringe the coast beyond Kampi.
