This time, no more doubt: you are in a country of woods and meadows. This village boasts the highest Douglas fir in France: 55 m high and 4.38 m in circumference. It is indeed here that these fir trees from North America were planted for the first time in France. The Count of Sablons brought back a few specimens in 1872 and, since then, the Douglas fir forests have multiplied in the region, providing wood for carpentry and furniture. They are also magnificent places for walking. It is in the wood of Corcelle that you will be able to admire the douglas fir trees of Claveisolles, classified with the historical monuments.
