25 km from Grenoble, the town of Voiron, considered as one of the gates of the Chartreuse, is nestled at the foot of the Grande-Sure and dominates the valley of the Isère. If Voiron is worth the detour, it is of course for the famous cellars where the Chartreuse is distilled, but also for the no less famous Bonnat chocolates, whose shop, for more than a century, has been offering, opposite the cathedral, a whole range of traditional confectionery of great quality - from the best cocoa vintages - as well as pastries, ice creams and sorbets. The Grand Angle offers a large theatre with a quality programme of concerts, theatre and music.
