This new commune was born in 2017, bringing together the communes of Paladru and Le Pin. It is obviously the lake of Paladru and its landscaped areas that give all its appeal to Villages du Lac. Shaped during the ice age, this lake is 6 km long and 1.2 km wide. It is the5th largest natural lake in France. It is a privileged place for the nesting of birds and the spawning of fish. Important archaeological discoveries have been made, especially at the southern end. The opening in June 2022 of the new Archaeological Museum of Lake Paladru (MALP) offers an extraordinary temporal immersion to visitors.
