Two villages close to each other as the crow flies, but still on two different slopes. Nothing seemed to link them except their administrative regrouping in 1920. You have to go to the bottom of the Gervanne valley to reach Lozeron. Gigors, for its part, is on another slope turned towards the valley of the Sye. This village of Roman origin became the property of the Counts of Valentinois in the 12th century. A little apart, isolated on its mound, perched on a small pass linking the two valleys of the Gervanne and the Sye valley, is the beautiful Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre de Gigors (12th century), attached to the Abbey of Cluny.
