Do not confuse Barsac and... Barsac. On the left bank of the Drôme river, Barsac, the cerceaun of clairette-de-die, has 170 inhabitants and 9 wineries. On the left bank of the Garonne, the Bordeaux cousin, has 2,000 inhabitants and... 65 wineries. So, surprisingly, the other Barsac is also dedicated to wine growing. The Barsac of the Drôme, with its small village school, a single class, a goat farm, gîtes and an organic market gardener, has been preserved. Here, winegrowers and neo-ruralists live together in harmony. A pleasant path of clairette walks you from the center of the village between the vineyards, ford a stream and along the marl.
