Alixan is typically a "circular village" that is pleasant to discover on foot, along its narrow streets revealing medieval houses and small yards. Built in three rings around a central molasse piton about ten meters high, Alixan is wrapped around a monumental Romanesque medieval church, the church of Saint-Didier, a former dependency of the Abbey of Léoncel. The small town is known for its Christmas market, every second Sunday in December, which brings together 80 exhibitors. Note a nice center: cobblestones, fountain of artist ... But it is especially the presence of the TGV station in Valence that has brought Alixan out of the shadows.
