The village, home to 800 inhabitants, lies at the confluence of the Bourne and Vernaison rivers, which both flow from the Vercors massif. The medieval architecture of Pont, with its houses suspended above the tumultuous waters and its staircase lanes, gives it a great charm. It is also the bridge over the Bourne that is the origin of the name of the town (Royans being the name of the region). To see: the remains of the castle of the Bridge (13th century), the Romanesque church reworked in the 17th and 19th centuries, the Clock Tower, which is the old door of the walls disappeared. For visits, do not miss the Museum of Water.
