Former imperial town, in the hands of the lords of Ribeaupierre and their successors, Ohnenheim was inhabited from the Celtic era, as the numerous mounds surrounding it attest. Rich in its remains, it is also a post relay from 1700 as well as a tithe house, decorated with a sandstone plate representing a framed Marianne of two heads of lion. Also very interesting, the village church, built in the th century, has a clocher base of the th century.
