Travel Guide Sutrieu

Sutrieu (200 inhabitants) is a former commune which since 2019 belongs to the delegated commune of Valromey-sur-Séran. It is the proximity of the observatory of the Lèbe (located at 8 km via Saint-Maurice, a hamlet also integrated into the new commune) which amplified the tourist interest of the surroundings. Inaugurated in 2000, this observatory is open to a wide public with many fun and educational activities. Immersive films to popularize science, talks by animators, observation evenings, a 2,300-metre thematic trail devoted to the solar system, the weather and flora, completed by a garden with sundials.
